Physicians & Trainees Retreat May 5th 2018

This retreat is intended for physicians and trainees from all Ontario, and hopefully beyond. Its first iteration in 2017 was very well received. Much of what we’ve done in recent years has resolved around some heavy advocacy work, but this only makes sense if we are drawn closer to Christ, the Physician of our souls and bodies … I would encourage physicians and trainees of all ages to try to carve time in their spring schedule for this, knowing that some have to arrange time for significant travel. For those with families, please note that the retreat is explicitly intended to be accommodating in this regard — with a very large property for roaming and rooms for napping. This is an excellent opportunity to invite a colleague to a prayerful activity …

Retreat details:

• 1000am: Divine Liturgy (Holy Mass) with sermon (1st talk). Liturgy will be followed by Great Silence until grace before meal
• 1200pm: Lunch and fellowship.
• 0130pm: Second talk (approx 45 minutes) … topic TBD
• 0215pm: quiet time for spiritual reading, private prayer, walk in the woods. Priest available for confession.
• 0345pm: Third talk (approx 45 minutes) … topic TBD
• 0500pm: Moleben prayer service.
• 0530pm: retreat completed.

Vibrant for Christ and orthodox in every way that can be conceived, Fr Teodosy is a monk in the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. His story is most extraordinary, and matched only by his humility.
